Committee Vacancies – Club Secretary & Club Treasurer
Inverkeithing United FC is inviting applications for two key voluntary committee positions as we continue to grow and develop as a community football club:
- Club Secretary
- Club Treasurer
These are important roles within the club and offer a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the continued success and development of football in Inverkeithing.
We are looking for committed, organised and enthusiastic individuals who share our passion for grassroots football and community sport.
Club Secretary – Key Responsibilities
The Club Secretary plays a vital role in the smooth administration of the club. Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the point of contact between the club and relevant football associations/leagues
- Organising and attending committee meetings, including taking minutes
- Ensuring affiliation and league registrations are completed on time
- Supporting player registrations and compliance requirements
- Assisting with general club administration and governance
Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.
Club Treasurer – Key Responsibilities
The Club Treasurer oversees the financial management of the club and ensures transparency and good governance. Responsibilities include:
- Managing the club’s bank accounts and financial records
- Monitoring income and expenditure
- Preparing simple financial reports for committee meetings
- Managing budgets and forecasting
- Overseeing payment of league fees, facilities, equipment and suppliers
- Supporting fundraising initiatives and grant applications
- Ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place
Basic financial knowledge or bookkeeping experience would be beneficial, but support will be available.
